The selection process for the Journal’s staff occurs once a year during the summer
recess. Graduate student applicants submit an application packet comprised of an academic
vita, a writing sample, and a questionnaire form. Based on this packet, a select number of graduate students are invited for an interview
with the senior members of the Editorial Board before a final decision is made. Law students compete for positions through a formal write-on competition. The materials from the competition are blinded and then graded by the Editorial Board. Decisions are anonymous and formulaic, based upon the write-on competition scores
and the law students’ grade point average.
