FCBE students have the opportunity to earn academic credit for internships that are
related to their majors. These internships are approved by departmental Faculty Internship
Supervisors and once approved, student interns work with a faculty Internship Course
Instructor within their major for their internship coursework. Internship courses
are graded on a letter grade scale (A, B, C, D) and follow the same requirements as
other academic courses for grading and drop deadlines. Registration is by permit only.
To apply for internship academic credit, please follow the steps below.
Academic Requirements for FCBE Academic Internships:
Eligibility requirements for internship course academic credit are as follows:
- Business major
- Junior or Senior classification with a minimum 2.75 GPA
- 15 credit hours of upper division core classes
- Students must work 150 hours to receive credit
In addition to these requirements, Finance majors must have completed FIR 3410 with
a minimum grade of a C.
*** The course and the internship must be taken simultaneously. No credit can be given for past experience. Internship experience must be directly related to your major. Students must register for credit prior to beginning the internship experience.
