For release: October 28, 2013
FCBE is proud to announce that Memphis Business Journal has recognized Executive MBA
alumnus, Kevin Bourquin, as a member of its 2013 “Top 40 Under 40” class. Bourquin
is currently a Prepress Manager at Memphis flexographic printing company, Cyber Graphics,
LLC, where he worked throughout his pursuit of the EMBA. While in the EMBA program,
Bourquin received the Dean’s Award for academic excellence and outstanding academic
performance by maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
“Kevin always presented himself as knowledgeable and prepared for whatever obstacles
he might encounter as part of his business responsibilities,” stated Dr. Jasbir Dhaliwal,
Associate Dean of Academic Programs. “One thing I remember distinctively about him
is that, as part of the Executive MBA Program, which requires students to execute
an innovation project that either saves or adds to their respective company’s bottom
line, Kevin not only began working on this project early in the program, his company
actually implemented his idea before he graduated. He truly deserves this distinction
and this achievement should come as no surprise to those who know and/or work with
“It's a huge honor to be named one of the ‘Top 40’s Under 40’ by the Memphis Business
Journal,” said Bourquin. “Throughout my career, I have had many opportunities to grow.
Through my education with the Executive MBA program at The University of Memphis'
Fogelman College of Business and Economics, I was able to hone many necessary skills
for success, as well as to learn from an eclectic class of business professionals
and professors. This ‘Top 40 Under 40’ recognition would not be possible without all
those who listened, gave advice and mentored me along the way. I now hope to give
back to others through by participating in the Fogelman College’s MILE program and
by coaching the future leaders at Cyber Graphics.”
The Memphis Business Journal annually selects 40 successful business and community
leaders to honor as the “Top 40 Under 40” of Memphis. The honorees will be recognized
at a luncheon hosted on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Hilton Memphis.
