FCBE Congratulates 2013 Financial Executives International (FEI) Award Recipient

The Fogelman College congratulates Finance graduate, Matt Donahoo, on his receipt
of the 2013 Financial Executives International (FEI) Memphis Chapter Educational Achievement
Award. The FEI Memphis Chapter awards one scholarship each year to a deserving honors
Accounting/Finance student at the University of Memphis. Recipients of the award must
be interested in an accounting or finance career, possess an outstanding academic
record, exhibit personal attributes to support success in business and demonstrate
achievements in their extracurricular activities, such as school and community leadership
roles. Donahoo will receive an award of approximately $1,250.
Donahoo graduated from the University of Memphis Helen Hardin Honors Program in May
2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance. He belongs to two honors societies, Phi
Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma, and is also a recent member of the UM chapter of the
Financial Management Association. He is currently pursuing a M.S. in Finance at Fogelman
College and plans to obtain his CFA with the intention of exploring a career in banking,
corporate finance or stock analysis.
Donahoo is also a past recipient of the Cecil C. Humphreys Presidential Scholarship
and the Tennessee Hope Merit Scholarship. He maintained a spot on the Deans’ List
each semester while in school.
Founded over 80 years ago, FEI’s mission is to advance the success of senior-level
financial executives, their organizations, and the profession. Today the organization
provides a forum for financial executives to network, engage in continual education,
and discuss national and global policy regarding the profession.
