FCBE Congratulates MBA Students on Winning in the Global Innovation Forum

Several Fogelman College MBA students participated in the Athgo Global Innovation
Forum at the World Bank Head Quarters in Washington, DC on May 22nd through the 24th.
A total of 90 Universities from all over the world participated in this event.
Full-time MBA student, Joseph Fox, was a participant of the team that won the overall
competition for Innovative projects. Fox’s team consisted of participants from the
University of Hawaii, the University of North Carolina, Annapolis, Vietnam and New
Jersey. Their award-winning business proposal was a solutions platform for first responders
to save lives, materials and prevent further damage in crisis situations. He and his
team will be awarded an innovation grant of $3,000, upon the launch of their generated
Another MBA student, Brad Kerley, placed second in the team competition which consisted
of more than 20 teams. His team members were from American University and Newberry
College. Their business concept was to provide clean water in remote and underdeveloped
communities as well as disaster stricken areas. Brad’s team will receive $2,000 if
they launch their business idea within 6 months.
Both Joseph Fox and Brad Kerley are both full-time, Customer Driven MBA students on
the entrepreneurial track and are scheduled to graduate in 2014.
