Economics Professor Delivers Healthcare Information to Major Hospitals

Dr. Cyril Chang, FCBE Professor of Economics and Director of the Methodist Le Bonheur
Center for Healthcare Economics, has recently been invited to share his area of expertise
to physicians and hospital administrators in Memphis.
On May 8, 2013, he delivered a speech at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where
he was the guest lecturer of Dr. Joan Chesney, the Director of the St. Jude Clinical
Fellowship Program. His St. Jude lecture focused on the Patient Protection and Affordable
Care Act and its impact on pediatric practice. Dr. Chang was also the key speaker
at the annual Etteldorf Symposium at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. He discussed
the impact of health care reform in Tennessee and opportunities for pediatric practice
in the post-reform environment. In addition to the two lectures, Dr. Chang has been
invited to give a speech at the Tennessee Annual Pediatric Summit in July 2013.
