ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ACCOUNTING
The School of Accountancy in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics is seeking
two tenure-track Assistant Professors, effective fall semester 2015, pending available
funding. Responsibilities include effectively teaching undergraduate and graduate
courses, developing a stream of quality research, participating in activities of the
Department, and fulfilling professional and university service responsibilities.
The Department is an academically diverse, research-oriented group of 17 full-time
faculty members. The Department offers degree programs at all levels and is fully

A Ph.D. in accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution is required (advanced ABDs
may be considered if degree completion is imminent). All candidates must have either
education in, or experience working with, U.S. GAAP, tax law, and/or auditing standards.
Teaching and research interests in all areas of accounting will be considered. Effective
college teaching experience and evidence of strong research potential are required
for assistant professor. Graduate teaching experience and professional certification
(CPA preferred) are desired.
This is an academic-year appointment and offers competitive compensation, summer research

The Fogelman College of Business & Economics has become a leading business school
