University of Memphis fields largest contingent of students - past and present - at U.S. Egyptology meeting


Approximately 30 faculty and students - past and present - from University of Memphis programs in ancient Egyptian art and history attended the annual conference of the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE) in April. This represented the largest single contingent from one school at the meeting.

This year's meeting was held in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the beautiful Art Deco Hilton Netherland Plaza Hotel.  Over 250 Egyptologists from North America, Europe, Egypt and Asia attended this year's meeting.
