The Communication Sciences Library (CSL) is housed on the lower level of The School
of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The School is located in the old medical
center area near downtown Memphis at 807 Jefferson Avenue.
The collection includes books and journals focusing on Audiology and Speech-language
pathology. Related areas of interest within the collection include special education,
linguistics, laryngology, otology, neurology, psychology, and sociology. There are
over 5,000 book titles and 3,000 bound journal volumes in the collection.
The Communication Sciences Library is a branch of the University of Memphis Libraries.
All policies are in accordance with University of Memphis Libraries Policies.
Journals, reference, and reserve materials may only be used in the library.
A copy machine is available for patron use. Library patrons must use their University
of Memphis ID card to pay for copies.
There are three computer workstations in the library that provide access to the library
catalog and other University Libraries electronic resources. There is no charge for
During regular business hours library staff will be available to answer library-related
questions and instruct patrons in using library resources.
