Anthropology Club
Our anthropology club welcomes all graduate and undergraduate students interested
in learning more about our incredibly broad discipline. As students, we often have
such busy schedules it's nice to get together and find out what everyone is working
on; the club gives us a chance to share information about campus activities, research
opportunities, and interesting events around the Memphis area. We regularly hold
information panels about our graduate department and the job opportunities available
to anthropologists and many club members volunteer for local events like the Relic
Run at Chucalissa. For the most up-to-date club information, check out our Facebook page or contact one of our officers!

After months of careful design and deliberation we finally have our Anthropology Club
t-shirts! We were fortunate to have the help of local artist, Vanessa Waites, who
created that awesome image of Franz Boas just for us. The slogan on the back of each
shirt reminds everyone that you don't have to be crazy to be an anthropologist, but
it helps! |
| Chucalissa is one of our favorite places to visit and this year the club was happy
to support the 2013 Relic Run 5K. Several of our members helped out with holding signs, pouring water, and cheering
on all the runners who braved the snowy weather. We also want to give special congratulations
to club members Mallory Bader, Jeanne Hanna, and Kenny Latta who all medaled in the
race! |
