George Sugarman installation shot of print

Like Mark di Suvero, George Sugarman took sculpture off of the pedestal where it participated in and shared the space of people. His bright ribbons and clusters of painted wood or metal wrap air, capture light and sprawl on grass or pavement. The work contributed to the portfolio has no overt political content, and it is unusually static for Sugarman’s work.
