Terez graduated from the University of Memphis in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports & Leisure Management and is currently the Assistant Director of Programs for Alumni and Constituent Relations at the U of M. He has served on the alumni staff at the University of Memphis as the primary coordinator of athletic-centered events and has coordinated activities through the Alumni Association such as the 2011 EA Sports Maui Invitational Tiger Luau in Hawaii, Conference USA/NCAA Tournament pep rally events, Nashville Tiger Tour Golf Tournament, 2012 Battle for Atlantis Tiger Thanksgiving in the Bahamas, 2013 Old Spice Classic Thanksgiving dinner, Luther C. McClellan Alumni Step Show, Band Alumni’s Bandmasters Championship, Tiger Tour, and the Young Alumni True Blue 5k.
Having an extensive background in areas such as event management, alumni relations, and sports marketing has allowed Terez to obtain a distinguished record of achievements and formulate action plans to achieve organizational goals within the Advancement Division of the U of M. Terez credits his education and campus involvement at the University of Memphis for providing him the skills necessary to be successful in his career today. As a former Pouncer mascot and Mr. University of Memphis in 2008, Terez feels an obligation to inspire students and alumni to bleed blue every day. “I have U of M pride because I have invested blood, sweat and tears into the growth of the institution since I stepped foot on campus. I am the first person in my family to attend college, so I give many thanks to the University for allowing me to have the opportunity to grow and blossom into the man I am today. I want to always be a voice for my institution and spread the great news about where I went to college. The University of Memphis Alumni Association is the uniting voice for the city of Memphis. We will fight like tigers and be the best institution that we can for our community, city, state, and nation.”
