Membership Matters
Anita Vaughn (BA '77, MPA '82) is an Alumni Association Life Member and is the President-Elect
of the Alumni Association's National Executive Board of Directors. Anita is the CEO
of Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women. She was chosen as one of the "100 women who
made a difference to the University of Women" by the Center for Research on Women
in 2012. Anita is a guest professor for the College of Arts & Sciences, and is a LEAD
and CAS Advisory Council member. She was named Outstanding Alumna by the College of

Your membership in the Alumni Association helps provide 12 scholarships annually to
U of M students and funds the Distinguished Teaching, Advising and Research Awards
annually. In addition, supporting YOUR University helps YOUR degree grow stronger and makes
the U of M better.
Membership also has its privileges! Members receive an array of great local and national
discounts and access to tailgates, watch parties, pep rallies, awards dinners, and
