Young Alumni
Join fellow Young Alumni at a watch party to cheer on our Tigers against the UT Vols on Friday, January 4, at 7 pm at Neils in East Memphis. The first 50 fans will receive a game day souvenir. The Engineering Alumni Chapter is seeking nominations for its 2013 Outstanding Alumni Awards to be presented to a deserving engineering graduate at the Awards Dinner in the Spring. Join UMAR for a Mix & Match at the Memphis Heritage Foundation followed by lunch at the Trolley Stop Cafe on Thursday, January 24, at 11 am. June West, Executive Director of the Memphis Heritage Foundation, will present a brief history of the Foundation and its mission as well as discuss historic sites of Memphis. Enjoy breakfast with the UMAR Book Club on Tuesday, January 22, at 11 am at Brother Juniper's before discussing this month's literary work, The Great Pearl Heist by Molly Crosby. Molly will join the group's discussion. The book club meets on the fourth Tuesday of every other month. On the first Tuesday of each month, the UMAR Breakfast Bunch gathers at 9 am for a casual breakfast at the Perkins Restaurant & Bakery located in the Eastgate Shopping Center, at 5112 Park Avenue. 10,000 Books from Tiger Fans
The U of M Athletic Department is partnering with Memphis City Schools to collect books through October. Fans can donate a new or used book for elementary or middle school kids.
