Join the Atlanta Alumni Club at its upcoming Tiger Basketball Watch Parties. All alumni, fans and friends are welcome. On Friday, February 17, at 5:30 pm, UMAR members and friends are invited to dine in the Holiday Inn Medallion Restaurant’s private dining room (cost of dinner is on your own). After dinner, the group will enjoy a performance of the most successful Broadway musical of all time, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera. IMBA Alumni Club
The International MBA Alumni Club will host Happy Hour at the Fox and Hound restaurant on Sanderlin on Wednesday, January 25, at 6 pm.  Come meet your IMBA Alumni Board members and reconnect with old friends. Education Alumni Chapter
In 2012, the College of Education will celebrate 100 years of educating teachers. To commemorate this occasion, the College of Education Alumni Chapter will honor faculty and alumni from each of the 10 decades at a Centennial Event on Tuesday, April 17, at the Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway Hall of Fame. We invite you to submit a nomination for the College of Education Hall of Fame. Deadline for nominations is January 27. More information about the April event to follow. All current University College students with a declared major are invited and encouraged to apply by noon on Friday, February 10. The scholarships will be awarded at the University College’s annual awards ceremony on April 1. Communication Sciences and Disorders Alumni Chapter
The Communication Sciences and Disorders Alumni Chapter will host its annual Alumni Reception on Thursday, February 23, from 5:30-7:00 at the Hilton in East Memphis. The reception will take place during the 42nd Annual Mid-South Conference on Communicative Disorders. We will be honoring Dr. Tracey Baldwin (MA '82) as our Outstanding CSD Alumni for 2012.  The event is free, and all alumni are welcome.  Hors d’oeuvres will be provided. New Benefit for Alumni and Students: Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Have an idea for a new business venture, but need assistance putting the details together? The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is a new service on the University of Memphis campus that is available for all students and alumni free of charge. Beginning with idea generation and continuing through product launch, they can help develop cutting edge solutions. Available services include: idea development, technical assistance, skills training, mentoring, networking support, legal advice, financial guidance, and personalized feedback on business plans.
