Alumni Association Scholarships

The Alumni Association and its clubs and chapters are currently accepting applications for several student scholarships. Each scholarship is solely funded through Association membership dues and proceeds that each club and chapter raises through events and fundraisers. Thank you to each of our Association members, our club and chapter leadership, and to those that have participated in past Association activities for contributing to the success of fellow Tigers.

Alumni Association Scholarship
Children and grandchildren of Alumni Association members that will be incoming freshmen are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Click here to download an application today. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 29. The Association awards up to 12 scholarships, valued at $1,000, annually.

J. Wayne Johnson Scholarship
The Student Ambassador Board is now accepting nominations for its student scholarship. The award is presented to selected seniors who have contributed outstanding leadership to the University. The deadline is Friday, March 29. Click here to learn more and download an application.

University College Alumni Chapter Book Scholarship
Students that have a declared major with the University College are eligible to apply for the book scholarship. The deadline to apply is Monday, March 4. Click here to learn more and download an application.

George W. Etheridge Education Alumni Scholarship
The CEHHS Alumni Chapter is accepting applications for its George W. Etheridge Education Alumni scholarship. This award is available to full-time students, both graduate and undergraduate, who have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and are pursuing a degree within the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. Recipients will have demonstrated service and leadership to the department, college, university and professional community. Financial need will be considered as part of the selection process. Law Alumni Chapter Scholarships
The Law Alumni Chapter offers three scholarships annually. The Law Alumni Honor Student Scholarship is offered to a student who reflects the School's commitment to excellence and demonstrates an ability to succeed in the legal profession through leadership, scholarship, community service, or other achievements. The $1000 annual award is given to an entering student accepted to the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and is renewable for each of the three years.

Both the Pillars of Excellence Law Alumni Scholarship Endowment Fund and the Law Alumni Scholarship Award provide scholarship assistance to a second- or third-year law student based on financial need, grade point average, law school activities and application statement.

Young Alumni Legacy Scholarship
Current University of Memphis graduate or doctorate students that attended the U of M as an undergraduate are eligible to apply for the Young Alumni Legacy Scholarship. The deadline is Friday, May 17. Click here to learn more and apply.

Luther C. McClellan Alumni Chapter Scholarship
The deadline for the LCM Scholarship has passed. The 2013-2014 recipients of the $500 scholarship will be announced at the Black History Month Closing Ceremonies on February 28. We thank all of those that have applied.
