The University of Memphis is pleased to announce a new scholarship beginning Fall 2013 for non-resident students meeting the established criteria. This scholarship, open to first-time freshmen, is designed to assist students who do not qualify for in-state tuition but desire to attend the University of Memphis. All scholarships are awarded for the Fall and Spring terms. A separate scholarship application is not required for the Non-Resident Scholarship. This scholarship is not available to students entering the University of Memphis prior to Fall 2013.

Scholarships are awarded using a combination of ACT (or SAT) scores and cumulative high school grade point average provided at the time of admission. Renewable for four years, recipients must be continuously enrolled full-time and complete at least 24 credit hours by the end of each spring term with a 2.50 cumulative GPA. The scholarship will be applied to the student’s tuition statement applicable to the out-of-state tuition costs.
