Nursing with a Minor in Spanish

When I transferred to the University of Memphis, I really thought I would be the type of student who went to school and just went home, but my experience here so far has been the total opposite. I love that Memphis has all the opportunities of a big school but the feeling of community that comes with going to a small school.

Meet with Your Guidance Counselor

Throughout your sophomore, junior, and senior years of high school you will have several issues arise that will require consultation with others. One of the most influential persons you should periodically meet with is your high school guidance counselor. Your guidance counselor will have resources available to assist with issues ranging from college preparation while in high school to choosing the right college or university after you graduate. The guidance provided can have a very positive effect on your future. By meeting with your counselor, you are allowing him/her to get to know you and therefore, enabling him/her to more effectively guide you into the educational or work environment that will best meet your future expectations. Relying solely on your own ability to research what you think is best, may not produce the results you expect.

The University of Memphis has provided a dedicated web page with high school counselor resources online.
