Study Abroad

The University of Memphis study abroad programs are designed to provide students with the opportunity to combine a rigorous academic program with a cross-cultural learning experience that is not available in the United States.

  • We offer more than 200 semester, academic year and summer programs in over 50 countries to meet the diverse needs of the U of M student population.


Important Dates 

  • Summer Pre-departure Orientation - Friday, April 18 at 1pm in the UC Ballroom.

  • Fulbright Program Workshop - Wednesday, April 23 at 2pm in the UC Poplar Room (308).

  • Fall & Academic Year Pre-departure Orientation - Friday, April 25 at 2pm in UC Senate Chamber (261)

  • Czech Republic: University of Economics & CESP (Globalinks) - Entrepreneurship, International Business, European Cultural History and Central Europe, and International marketing Communications – focus on Central Europe. Dates: June 21-19, 2014

  • Costa Rica: Universidad de Costa Rica (U of M) Spanish Language & Literature, all levels. Dates: June 28 - July 30

  • England: Coventry University Summer Program - Business, Sport Industry, History, Communication, Literature. Dates: July 20 – August 9, 2014

  • CCIS – Kingston University - British Art & architecture, Business, Literature. Dates: July 2 – August 3, 2014

  • France: Lille Catholic University (U of M) - French Language, European Art, Culture, History & Politics. Dates: June 30 – July 25, 2014

  • Italy: Florence University of the Arts: PALAZZI - Nutrition in the Sports Industry, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Management, Renaissance Art, Digital Photography. Dates: July 12 – August 8, 2014

  • University of Bologna (U of M) – Intensive Italian, all levels. Dates: July 6 - 26

Congratulations to Kayla Griene, Danielle Olison, and April Dandridge for each winning a $1,000 the spring fair scholarship drawing toward a U of M Study Abroad Program!

Congratulations to Alex Galbraith, Lisa Gibson, and Bradley Starnes for winning the prestigious Gilman Scholarship for Study Abroad! The Gilman Scholarship provides awards for undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding to participate in study abroad programs worldwide. Go here for more details.

Congratulations to Alex Galbraith for also being awarded the Alliance for Global Education Scholarship! Alex will be studying at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in Shanghai, China during the Spring Semester.

Congratulations to Dylan Turner for winning the CEA Global Education Scholarship! Dylan will be participating in the CEA program in Alicante, Spain during the Spring Semester.
